What is your approach to minimising dust and keeping the workspace clean during taping and jointing?

Preparation: Before starting the taping and jointing process, we ensure that the workspace is properly prepared. This includes removing any unnecessary items or furniture and covering the floors with drop cloths or plastic sheets if required.

1. Dust containment systems: We use dust containment systems such as dust extractors or vacuum sanders, ( M Class) which can efficiently capture dust at the source. These tools greatly minimise airborne dust particles during the sanding process.

3. Housekeeping: We regularly clean the workspace during and after the taping and jointing process and use a vacuum cleaner equipped with a HEPA filter to effectively remove dust from surfaces.

3. Proper disposal: We dispose of any waste material, including drywall dust and debris, in sealed bags or containers.

4. Protective clothing: To minimize dust transfer to clothing and skin, we ensure all workers wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as disposable overalls, gloves, safety glasses & P3 rated dust masks.
